The difference between Ave Maria Nurses and other hospital nurses

Ave Maria Nurses are trained to care for people in the last few months or weeks of their lives.

Ave Maria Nurses generally spend several hours at a time with patients providing nursing care and emotional support, often overnight. Apart from regular medicine dispensation, Ave Maria Nurses are trained to provide advice on pain management and symptom control together with emotional support.

In addition to providing a high standard of nursing care, Ave Maria Nurses support terminally ill patients by:

  • listening to concerns about patients’ illness or treatment
  • providing practical and emotional advice to patients and their family
  • advising the medical officer about developments in a patient’s condition
  • acting on doctors advice and implementing their suggestions in an emergency

Ave Maria Nurses are also available for full time home care. Click here in order to Request for a Nurse at Home.
