Ave Maria Palliative Care

Mangalore's first standalone Palliative Care Unit/Hospice

Note of thanks from Diana – a patients niece

appreciation 3The following note is from Diana, the niece of one of our patients Mrs. S who passed away at our hospice after a stay of 50 days. Several members of her family were abroad and hence could not be involved in her care directly. However, everyone made it a point to call her and talk to her on the phone during her last days here at the unit.

Thank you ever so much for all the care and concern showed to our aunty by your staff. We are so glad that a facility such as Ave Maria is available to people in Mangalore. We are sad at our aunt’s death but happy that she is not in pain anymore. We are especially grateful for keeping us informed about our aunt and for encouraging us to contact her by phone. We are sure that knowing her family all over the world was thinking of her and praying for her helped her during her difficult last days. It was difficult for those of us who were not close by to know what to do. We are grateful to God and to all of you who helped her at this difficult time to make her final days peaceful. Thanks again and may God bless all your staff who help people in their last days.”
